INJURY PREVENTION
The number one thing to know about sports injuries is how to prevent them from happening in the first place. There are some simple steps athletes, parents, and trainers can take to prevent them from happening. One of the first things, and the most obvious, is maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This would mean athletes need to focus on eating enough nutritious foods and staying well hydrated. Finding time to fit in a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise a day, at any intensity level, will keep you healthier overall.
It is also important coaches watch how athletes react to the training and competitions they take part in. Trainers and coaches can plan practices which exercise different muscle groups and it’s an effective way to balance out the strain for each muscle. Stretching the muscle group, you just worked out (even if you do not feel any tension) can be very helpful in preventing injuries.
